Injectable Method How to Administer Injectable Semaglutide

Injectable Semaglutide is often taken just once weekly. To limit side effects, most doctors recommend starting with a low dose and gradually increasing the dose as necessary. It will arrive in a multi-dose vial, with syringes, and supplies will be included. This is a painless small syringe and injecting is simple. We will provide you with your dosing schedule and can provide tutorial videos if needed.
The injections are taken in the belly fat area with a small subcutaneous syringe. Injectable Semaglutide for weight loss is much more affordable than oral semaglutide. Considering semaglutide is a long-term program, we definitely prefer the injections over the oral version of semaglutide.

How to Administer Oral Semaglutide

To properly take oral Semaglutide, here’s what you need to know:

Oral vs Injectable Semaglutide: What's the Difference?

Based on the totality of the evidence, both oral and injectable forms of Semaglutide are effective in vivo. Some clinical literature suggests that, at least in the context of treating diabetes (the original clinical indication for Semaglutide therapy), the injectable version might be slightly more efficacious:
“Oral semaglutide is slightly less efficacious than the injectable preparation, requires daily compared with weekly administration, with careful attention to detail in relation to administration, and does not currently have data that unequivocally support cardiovascular benefit.”
The delivery vehicle for Semaglutide that the FDA approved for weight loss is the once-weekly injection, but there is clinical evidence to indicate that oral Semaglutide also produces medicinal effects (at least in the context of lowering blood sugar for diabetics).

Sample Semaglutide Dosing Schedules

Semaglutide is started with a smaller dose and one will work themselves up to a maximum dose of 2.4mg once per week, or a dose that they can tolerate well with minimal side effects. Everyone is different, however we do see that many patients do well with a 1 mg per week dosage. They lose weight steadily and side effects are mild to none at all.
